Our country’s seven states in the North East, known as the seven sister receive the first rays of sun, but they do not receive the rays of good education. The IDRF girls hostel houses students from these states in order to make quality education available to them. Education remains inaccessible to approximately 20 crore tribal people in India.

Considering this, Shiksha Bharati has constructed a hostel in its premises with the help of I.D.R.F. America, which has contributed a sum of Rs. 1 crore and 24 Lakhs. The hostel has the ability to house 178 girls. As of now, 68 girls from tribal communities of eight states of the North East, including Sikkim & Jharkhand are residing in this hostel and receiving education from classes I-XII in the girls school run by Shiksha Bharati.

All their boarding and educational expenses are borne by Shiksha Bharati and its patrons through the collection of donation in accordance with the sponsorship scheme. After completing their education, they return back to their home states and impart education to the underprivileged children native to their villages.
